Roero Arneis

D.O.C.G (Designazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita)

Roero Arneis is a typical white wine from Piedmont, included in the DOCG 'Roero'.
The origin of the name "Arneis" seems to be attributable to the dialectal "arneis", used to indicate a 'surly' and 'rebellious' person just like the character of this vine. Other sources, however, lead it back to 'Renexij' from the name of the 'bric Renesio', a particularly suitable hill, located in the area of the municipality of Canale (CN).
