Roero Arneis
D.O.C.G (Designazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita)
Roero Arneis is a typical white wine from Piedmont, included in the DOCG "Roero".
The origin of the name "Arneis" seems to be attributable to the dialectal "arneis", used to indicate a "surly" and "rebellious" person just like the character of this vine. Other sources, however, lead it back to "Renexij", from the name of the "bric Renesio", a particularly suitable hill, located in the area of the municipality of Canale (CN).
